I would recommend to all to go for it! The family run Taman Anyar really is a very fantastic place to spent a few hours (time: 9.30am - 2pm) as it offers everything about Balinese village life under one roof. We went in a group of 50 so the program was elaborated with a traditional grand welcoming ceremony, introduction to Balinese culture, family homes, family temple, scrumptious lunch under the canopy of trees, a walk through the local crafts making, cooking demonstrations, dessert making, demonstration of paddy planting, and savouring of local fruits, and the entertaining live band of traditional music and traditional dance performances. This is one of the highlight for my 3-day visit to Bali. I highly recommend this visit.

This was such a special tour . Learning so much about Balinese life and culture. I have been coming to Bali for 30 years and until this tour really did not know much about Balinese life. Incredibly informative friendly and so much fun. Highly recommend for anyone coming to Bali

His was one of the best experiences my husband and I had in Bali. If you want to really experience Bali and the Balinese culture sign up for this half day "tour". Your day starts by visiting a local elementary school. (Make sure to bring candy... the kid's will swarm you like bees to honey!) Next you will spend the rest of the day at the home of a Balinese family where they will teach you about their home, culture, food and religion. The whole family including aunts, uncles, parents and children are involved. You will get a close look at the village rice field and even plant some rice in the muddy rice field if you wish. This is an experience you will never forget!

We wanted to experience the traditional Balinese ways and we also wanted to visit a local school because our daughter is a teacher. Our driver organised this visit for us. This was one of the most memorable tines of our stay in Bali. From the time we arrived at Taman Anyar it felt special. We were welcomed by a group of women who walked with us to the main house where we could experience a blessing. Then an educational tour to the rice fields. Throughout our walk our young guide showed us the plants and how the rice gets processed and bagged. A delicious lunch with entertainment by the Balinese dancers. The only negative for us was the dreadful traffic going back to Jimbaran. It took was 3.50 hours because of the travelers coming from Java.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but I really enjoyed this experience, and so did my preteen daughter. The people were very genuine in sharing their culture and the house is so beautiful. There was also food, which was very nice.

What an amazing experience! They run every Tuesday and other days is on request. A really nice experience without it being commercialised at a big scale to understand Balinese culture. The meal at the end was amazing too!

It was money well spent. Great introduction to the balinese living and culture. Guides are friendly and he shared with us many things such as how the padi fields are managed as well as how they make local dishes like satay. Overall a great experience that must not be missed.
